The Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders (ACEL) is honored to announce Mr. Tony King as the co-emcee for the 2016 ACELelbration of Leadership Gala on Saturday, January 16th at the DoubleTree Paradise Valley Resort.
Tony has family roots from Shanghai, China. Both his parents, Tom and Wai Hong King, were born there and immigrated to the United States. Tony’s parents met, made their home, and raised their family in Las Vegas. While in school Tony was a two-time high school state chess champion. Tony’s championships did not end in high school. While he attended the University of Southern California for his undergraduate degree, he was the head student manager for the USC football team from 2003 to 2004. From his time with the USC football team, he earned two Orange Bowl rings and one Rose Bowl ring.
Tony King attended the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where he graduated in 2009. Upon graduation Tony moved to Phoenix where he practices commercial litigation at Snell & Wilmer LLP. Since being at Snell & Wilmer LLP, Tony has twice been selected as a Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star. Tony also serves on the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Attorney Development Committee, and is very active with the summer associate program. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Arizona Asian American Bar Association (where he has emceed the past three annual banquet dinner events) and a member on the advisory board for the downtown YMCA.
Tony enjoys sports (particularly USC football), good food and wine, networking, chess, and going on adventures with his amazing girlfriend, Laura Busby, and their two beautiful dogs.Tony is honored to co-emcee this year’s ACELebration of Leadership Gala and hopes that everyone enjoys the event.
